Parents' Interactive Book Study

"I just don't know how to help my child."

We are all just trying to raise calm, confident kids in a world that feels anything but calm. The truth is, the world our children are growing up in has changed faster and more drastically than we ever imagined.

As parents, this has left many of us feeling unsure, exhausted and a little bit lost. Between screens, social pressure, and constant busyness, our kids are feeling more anxious and disconnected than ever before— so are we.

This guided study will help us connect as parents right here in our Grand Ledge Community, while also giving us a deeper, more practical understanding of how digital and social media- based childhood is impacting our children—and how it has already impacted many of us.

This can be a very tough topic.

Meet Your Facilitator

Jeremiah Fulmer, CAFSS-S, CTCP,CLC

Dear Parent,

Hi!

I’m Jeremiah, a local Grand Ledge parent who understands firsthand the challenges of raising kids in today’s fast-changing, anxiety-filled world. My heart for this work comes not only from my professional expertise but also from walking the parenting journey myself. I believe this book study is important because we, as parents, need this knowledge to better equip ourselves to help our children find their way to a healthy, manageable adulthood.

I am a Certified Adolescent and Family Support Specialist Supervisor, a Certified Trauma Care Practitioner, and a Certified Life Coach. I have worked extensively with individuals, as well as adolescents and their families, helping them overcome barriers, disconnection, and dysregulated nervous systems in order to build resilience and grow with confidence. I also train, supervise, and support other Adolescent and Family Support Specialists, working side by side with and under the mentorship of Dr. Judith Belton.

I combine my professional education and training with lived experience to support families through the challenges of mental health struggles and personal growth.

I am the Founder and CEO of Growing Unstuck LLC. I also serve as the Mid-Michigan Peer Support Group Facilitator for the nonprofit Broken People: A Mental Health Peer Support Group, where I host a weekly, non-clinical mental health support group right here in Grand Ledge.
